Treatment rewrite - 7th December 2010

Live 2 Dance
An original screenplay by Vikkie, David, Andrew and Yasemin.
7th December 2010

V-DAY Productions proudly presents a musical drama/dance film about a young lady who has a passion about going far in dance, so tries to create the ultimate dance group. She teams up with other passionate dancers in order to achieve her ambition and compete in the biggest dance competition possible in the UK; 'Live 2 Dance'.

As the story unfolds, there is various conflicts as all of the characters dance and fight for themselves, not for the future of the group. The main character gets injured during rehearsals and the group all turn wanting to ditch their main dancer. But through the hard times, they pull together and dance as one unit.

Through drugs, fights and gang-warfare they all pull together to dance as one solid unit, even though their relationships and the groups future does not matter to them, only their own personal goals and achievements.

For the idea of our film, think 'Step Up' meets 'Dirty Dancing'. The idea where feuding families and characters fight through it, pull together and dance together.

V-DAY Productions plans to set 'Live 2 Dance' in various locations like parks and clubs in Dagenham and London, and use the different characters - our lead teen female, the fighting teen males, and the drug addicts, in order to create the desired effect of competition and dispute, but also the feeling of co-operation when they put their differences aside to succeed in life. Live 2 Dance is targeted towards a demographic composed primarily of young females in their teens, but will also appeal to males who enjoy dance.

With the approval of the Executive Producer:
Miss O'dell
